Florida is flat.
Philly is very much not flat.
Florida is humid.
Philly has a decent breeze and relatively no humidity.
Florida is hot and sunny.
Philly traditionally is not as hot.
Well hold onto your water bottles boys and girls because today's weather colided with florida style temperatures and humidity. For the past few days I've gotten the benefit of Hot, humid, breezeless, and variable terrain to make what I'm calling "Suburban Basic Training".
I am telling you, this has been a rough few days. I am proud to say that I still got out there and did 2 of my toughest work outs yet... and I did them in my roughest conditions since the snow.
I hit the track today for my fastest mile time in a while 8:10 minutes. Plus 6 sprints and two reverse sprints (jogging backwards). I'm not lying when I say that I was about ready to hurl by the end of it. I actually went and stood in the shade for about 10 minutes and then layed in centerfield of a neighboring baseball field. I acted like i was sunning myself, not unlike the noble iguana of the caribean... but in reality I just couldn't make it back to the car. hahaha. how bout that.
I did mosey back up to the vehicle shortly after. I returned home, a champion once again of the roads... if you're curious about my motivational songs... You are in luck....
