Race weekend!

Good Luck to those of you who are racing this weekend! I'll be cheering you on from MA and am sad I can't be there. I am one of the bridesmaids hosting a wedding shower tomorrow and then we're going to the NKOTB concert at Fenway. Yes, that's right... The New Kids on the Block! "Step By Step" I'll be completing a 5K on Sunday. A few Braintree friends are running for Kyleigh’s Cure. Kyleigh's Cure is named for Kyleigh Lydon, a six-year-old with galactosemia, a rare genetic disorder. She is the daughter of Braintree police officer Sean and Kristine Lydon. Those with galactosemia cannot break down galactose, a sugar produced in digestion. This can cause galactose to build up in the body and lead to other health problems, including organ failure and brain damage. There is no cure and because it is so rare, there is little funding for research. If you want to learn more about Kyleigh go to: http://www.kyleighscure.com/
Have a great weekend with the family! Love, Kristen
